A Change of Pace

Published by Thomas under Administration

As you have noticed, I’ve written a series of negative Obama posts of late, mostly hinging on this pseudo-messanic aura around his campaign. Needless to say, I think it a dangerous precedent for a Presidential candidate to cast himself in this manner.

Government is simple.

It defends it’s population from foreign threats. Controls its borders. Build roads and sewers. Ensure the free flow of commerce. Etc, etc, etc…

But as a change of pace, I’ll lay off the Obama campaign for a while… that is, if doesn’t do something complete outrageous…

Bookworm’s New Spot

Published by Thomas under Administration

Bookworm has moved to a new address on the information highway. It’s a little diner on the side of the road where men and women (even children!) can stop by and converse about the topics on the day.

Unfortunately, the digital java isn’t as satisfying as the kind with real cream and sugar, but the conversations have always been the main course there and you don’t need cream and sugar for that.

Bookworm Room. Next exit. Turn right at the second electron.

Just checkin’ in

Published by Thomas under Administration

It’s been a few days since I last posted anything. As you’ve probably guessed, I’m on a Christmas/New Year’s holiday and I’m kicking back a bit. I have a few things swimming around my cranium but I don’t think I’m going to post anything of substance until after the New Year.

So, Happy New Year all you cyber readers!

And now for something completely different

Published by Thomas under Administration

In my effort to excise some part of me from political intrigue and debate, I’ve added some fun links to my Sidebar. Some of it is Hollywood palaver, some of it is science fiction blogs and magazines.

So, if you, dear constant readers, are desirous of a momentary break from the political cesspool, feel free to dive into these links. I’ll try to include more fun stuff on there as time goes by.

Howdy, I’m back!

Published by Thomas under Administration

I will be posting the first in a rather lengthy series of posts by the end of the day. Lots of things have been swimming around in my little noggin these past couple of months. I thought it was about time I wrote down a few of them.

The full post itself would be a bit too long. In MS Word, it’s coming to close to ten pages… single spaced. So, I’ll post the first one of the series today, the next one the following week, and so on and so forth until it’s all out there.

Minor update:

I began writing this upcoming post on Saturday.

Revised Blogging

Published by Thomas under Administration

Dear Constant Reader,

If you are one of the few people still scanning this blog for updates, you might have noticed that I haven’t really blogged for over a month and a half. There are many reasons for this, not least of which is because I’ve recently switched to a job that precludes blogging on a regular basis.

Thus, I’m announcing that the formatting on this blog will change into a bi-monthly ordeal. I’ll try to go into more depth with the subject matter rather than skim the surface with a minute-to-minute facile commentary, which I’ve been prone to do in the past. There are many topics worth discussing and writing about, but because of time constraints I’ll just limit it to topics I find interesting, even if no one else will :) (If that weren’t the case, why write it, eh?)

Of course, if there was a news item or an insight I find missing from the major blogs or the MSM, I might blog about that as well…

Along the way, I will occasionally enlist the help of friends to help me blog. Needless to say, I consider them exceptionally well-informed and I hold their views in the highest esteem.

Thanks for reading.

Thomas
